Such is the situation: a three-room apartment is used by a family of four. Parents donate their bedroom to their children, and they themselves decided to sleep in the living room combined with a kitchenette. But the situation got a little fed up and the parents wanted to change it.. Architectural bureau HCProject as always gave a choice of two solutions.
Answer 1: additional space due to two rooms
As you can see on the project located a little higher, redevelopment was proposed in the apartment, providing for the creation of an additional bedroom at the expense of two existing. And although in the bedroom for parents there was only a place for a double bed and two lockers with nightlights, this solution has its advantages. And they consist in the fact that in the children's rooms it was possible, with a decrease in usable space, to leave virtually all the necessary furniture, and this is a bed, wardrobe, a small table for study as well as a locker for books and study supplies.

Living room left untouched, it has the same shape as before. But the kitchen area has undergone minor changes. The wall between the kitchen and the bathroom has been changed, resulting in two niches, one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. There was a washing machine on the side of the bathroom., and in the kitchen a kitchen cabinet.
Answer 2: additional room in place of the kitchen
The kitchen began to occupy only one wall. The living room has a few wardrobes., they should contain all the utensils for the kitchen and dining room, as well as small household appliances.
The relocation of the kitchen necessitated the rebuilding of the entrance to the large children's room., now the doors are in an oblique wall. And the bedroom of the second child, in turn, was reduced in favor of the hallway, which made it possible to place a wardrobe in it.
The bathroom has increased by at least a shallow niche in the wall, separating this room from the parents' bedroom. Thereby, managed to place a washing machine in a niche. There is also a full bath in the bathroom., sink, and toilet.
